Wild Mushroom Wontons


• 16 wonton wrappers

• 3 T Butter

• 2 C. Sliced shiitake Mushrooms

• 1 onion, Minced

• 1 T Chopped ginger

• 1/2 C. Madeira wine

• 1 T sliced scallion

• 3 Oz. Cream Cheese


1. Melt 3 Tablespoons butter in a saucepan

2. add shallots, ginger and mushrooms and cook until almost dry

3. Add wine and reduce until almost dry

4. Stir in cream cheese, parsley and thyme and season with salt and pepper

5. Chill until mixture has set

6. Deep fry at 350* until golden.
